You Can Make History and Stop the Big Ugly Bill — Flood Their Feeds. Save Millions of Americans

Today, we need to flood social media and pressure the corporate donors propping up these Senators to demand they vote NO on Trump’s disastrous budget bill. Our collective voices can still stop this attack on working families. Let your Senators — and the companies funding them — know that we won’t stand by while they try to rip away health care, food assistance, and jobs from millions of Americans.

As Republican Senators advanced Trump’s budget bill over the weekend, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office confirmed what many feared: the bill will slash $930 billion from Medicaid — the largest cut in the program’s history. This reckless legislation will devastate working families and gut programs millions of Americans rely on. It cuts $1.3 trillion from food assistance and health coverage while giving the wealthy that exact amount in tax breaks. It rips away health care from 16 million Americans through over $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act, jeopardizing care for our most vulnerable.

This bill also threatens the very fabric of communities nationwide: over 300 rural hospitals could be forced to close, cutting off lifesaving care; roughly 5 million Americans, including 1 in 8 SNAP participants, risk losing food assistance; and 1 in 4 nursing homes could shutter their doors. On top of that, it puts 1.75 million construction jobs and 2 million clean energy jobs in jeopardy while increasing energy bills for families across the country. All while adding $3.25 trillion to the national debt and endangering our communities by making it easier to buy dangerous firearms and silencers. This bill isn’t just bad policy — it’s a direct attack on everyday Americans.

Here’s who we need to target right now:

Encourage to stay firm on voting NO:

  • Sen. Thom Tillis (NC) – said he’d vote NO

  • Sen. Rand Paul (KY) – said he’d vote NO

⚠️ On the fence — dial up the pressure:

  • Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK) – protections she secured were stripped, her vote is up for grabs

  • Sen. Susan Collins (ME) – tried to shield Maine from Medicaid & hospital cuts

  • Sen. Ron Johnson (WI) – flipped from NO to YES on proceeding, can still be swayed

  • Sen. Mike Lee (UT) – critical of federal overreach and spending

  • Sen. Rick Scott (FL) – represents one of the largest Medicaid populations in the country

If it’s bad for their people, it’s bad for all of us — we just need a few of them to vote NO. Flood their feeds now!
