Trump’s 100-Day Record: Lowest Approval Since Polling Began

Donald Trump is making history — but not in the way he wants.

As of April 27, 2025, President Donald Trump holds the lowest 100-day approval rating of any U.S. president in the past 80 years. According to a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll conducted from April 18–22, only 39% of Americans approve of his performance, while 55% disapprove. This marks a significant drop from February's 45% approval and is lower than his own record-setting 42% at the same point during his first term in 2017.

A separate CNN poll found Trump’s approval at 41%, also showing a sharp decline.

The numbers tell a deeper story: voters are disillusioned with Trump's handling of the economy, his attacks on democratic norms, and the growing instability he has created both at home and abroad.

While Trump still has his loyal cult following, the broader American electorate appears increasingly alarmed by the chaos and constitutional crisis he’s created.

While these polling numbers can’t undo the damage the Trump Administration has already caused, they may offer a glimmer of hope for a positive shift in the upcoming midterm elections.
